There is a large amount of food produced in grasslands such as the major food grains, corn, wheat, oats, barley, millet, rye and sorghum. Grasslands are important for agriculture because the soils are deep and fertile. Another way to give people a food source using the grassland biome is by grazing animals like sheep and cattle.
Grasses often depend on fir to germinate and generate new plants. Plants are rain- fed but now due to climate change it is irrigated. There are different types of farming such as wheat farming, mixed farms which are both grazing and cropping.
